After her recent success as competitor/coach at the 18th Legends Championship, we are pleased to confirm Maureen Day as Kiryoku Squad Coach on a permanent basis.

An experienced national and international competitor, Maureen has been training since 1984 and received her 3rd Dan from the legendary Enoeda Sensei in 1996. An inductee in the martial arts illustrated hall of fame, the pinnacle of Maureen’s career was winning the ‘vets’ individual female kumite at the 2017 SKDUN World championships.

Although Sensei Paul will continue to train the squad, Maureen will now take over the selections and ‘hands on’ coaching of our athletes at championships.

Kiryoku wishes her every success as squad coach and good luck in her final competition as a competitor when she competes for the SKDUN European championship in Poland next month.
